FATHER'S BIRTHDAY SPECIAL CAKE.
on 23th January, was my father's birthday , so I made this special chocolate cake. This chocolate cake has choco chips inside the layers of the cake.
I topped it with some homemade chocolates which I'm going to put a recipe for you all.
So let's get started.
INGREDIENTS:-
For the batter
1. Maida ( 2 cups)
2. Powdered sugar ( 2cup)
3. Melted butter ( 2 cup)
4. 2 eggs
5. ½ teaspoon of baking soda
6. ½ teaspoon of baking powder
7. 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
8. 1 cups of milk
9. 4 tablespoons of chocolate powder
For the ganache
1. Dark chocolate (1cup)
2. Milk chocolate compound ( ½ cup)
3. 2 cups of milk
4. 3 tablespoons of sugar.
Method:-
For the batter, wisk two eggs and 2 cups of sugar , till the sugar gets dissolved nicely. Add ½ cup of melted butter and wisk it nicely. Now add 2 cups of maida and ½ teaspoon of baking soda and baking powder in a Sifter and sift them , and add the dry mixture in small batches, and mix it well with the wet ingredients.
Now add 4 tablespoons of Coco powder ( Dutch processed)
And mix it well .
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix it well. Add 2 cups of milk to make the batter creamy.
Now in a microwave bowl grease some oil or butter and pour this mixture. And bake the cake at 180°C for 45 minutes .
After 45 minutes Pierce a stick to see whether it is cooked or not. If the stick looks clean that means it's done, but if the some mixture can be seen on the stick then that Indicated that the cake in undercooked.
For the ganache:-
In a pan add ½ tablespoons of butter and add 2 cups of grated dark chocolate compound and 1 cup milk chocolate compound , 2 cups of milk and mix them until the chocolate gets melted add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and mix on low heat until the mixture gets thicker.
For the assembling:-
Take the cake out of the oven and slice it evenly through the middle.
Now add a little bit of sugar syrup and add the chocolate ganache and spread it. Put the other slice of cake on top it and again pour the ganache on the cake and cover it with the ganache. Scrape out the excess of the chocolate. And garnish the cake with chocolate shavings on the top , at the sides and you can also use cherries or sprinklers to garnish the cake as per your choice.
And the cake is ready. Just keep it in the refrigerator and let it chill.
